Merry Christmas from all of us at Barlings Barn!

Exciting signs of early spring, reminiscences and counting blessings!

It was a dark and windy night (no hold on that’s Snoopy’s line). Anyway, it was dark, and it was VERY windy. Gale force winds hit Barlings Barn (and many other parts ofthe UK) this February, causing severe floods, winds up to 112mph, evacuations, and power cuts to thousands.

We have made a delightful discovery in our woods recently. 

We are very proud to announce that Barbara Hadrell, ‘Babs’, the horse logger who comes to help us to harvest the timber from the Barlings wood, won 'Horse Logger of the Year 2013’, particularly based around the work she has done here in our magical forest. Weare so thrilled for Babs, as she works so hard, and we send many congratulations to her and fabulous horses, Tyler and Billy.

It is quite hard to find a special place where you can bring your mates, your family, your kids and have a great time. Barlings Barn has been our holiday venue of choice. We have been comfortable and well hosted in parties of 18, 20 and 22.
